Insert Molding

Insert molding is a process that pre-made metal or plastic inserts are fed into the injection mold and come out with high precision fit with plastic part. Over Molding

Overmolding is a process in which a softer layer of material is bonded to a harder one of a part. It is generally used to improve tactile, look and functions. For example, a grip design can be pure sing shot plastic injection molded, but if its' designed to make by over-molded one, it can create better performance and usability. Take another example, over-molding means to use more than one material which offers extra color and style selections. Furthermore, elastomer contains outstanding features of vibration and noise reduction, which help finished products to even perform better, like razor grip.

Blow Molding
The Injection Blow Molding process incorporates three basic stages: plastic is injected into a mold to create a plastic cylinder; that plastic cylinder is blown into a mold to form a hollow part; and then that form is ejected. During this process, air is used to form the hollow plastic shape by forcing the soft plastic into the mold's cavity. Though described here in simplified terms, this outlines the general method of the injection blow molding process.

Injection blow molding provides manufacturers with a number of benefits:

● Better, tighter part tolerances that are safe and secure are created.
● The procedure produces good surface finishes.

Plastic Extrusion

Plastic extrusion is the process of manufacturing raw plastic material into a continuous profile, usually in high volume. Using heat, "virgin" (new) or recycled plastic is formed into the desired shape. Plastic extrusion is used to make items such as piping / tubing, weather stripping, deck railings, wire insulation, fencing, plastic films and sheeting, and thermoplastic coatings.
Plastic extrusion can be done with a wide variety of materials, including nylon, ABS, rigid and flexible PVC, elastomers, and more. Depending on the material used, the plastic product can be either rigid, semi-rigid or flexible, as well as have any number of interesting properties.

Gas Injection Molding

Gas assist injection molding is a process that produces large plastic parts with complex designs and superb cosmetic surface finishes. The process is especially ideal for large handles, equipment covers, doors, bezels, cabinets and skins.
Gas assist injection molding is a low pressure process that requires the injection of pressurized nitrogen gas into the interior of a mold. The gas flows through strategically placed gas channels to displace the material in the thick areas of the part by forming hollow sections.

Vacuum Injection Molding

One of the most economical thermoforming technologies is vacuum forming.
To vacuum form a plastic product:
1. A sheet of thermoplastic material is heated in an oven.
2. The heated sheet is set on a mold.
3. A vacuum pulls air out of the mold, pulling the sheet against the mold to shape it.
4. After the formed plastic cools and hardens, it's removed from the mold and trimmed.
