Design for Manufacturability, Design for Manufacturing
There is a team of engineers in Pan Taiwan. When we receive your drawing to develop a product, our engineer will prepare a DFM - design for manufacturability to discuss the feasibility with you. Our DFM includes the comparison of your 2D and 3D drawing, dimension tolerances, the potential issues of the product surface, and our proposal of tooling design that contains parting line, draft, injection gate, injection pins and date code. Sometimes we will look into the options of the suitable materials. Mold flow analysis is available with some charge.
It's always more difficult and would take more time to modify the tooling. We would like to have a thorough discussion with customers before developing the tooling. Some issues might be found or fixed in the design phase which is the least expensive place to address them.
